Dental and medical office
Patients often look for a dental or medical office for the first time, in a busy plaza, and need to find the right door. Halo-lit letters give the calm, clean look that suits clinics; front-lit letters read better where the building is far from the road. Inside, the same logo on the reception wall tells patients they are in the right place.

From idea to switch-on
- Ask for the property sign criteria; medical buildings and plazas often set the style, color and size.
- Measure the sign area and take a straight-on photo with a tape measure in it.
- Send your logo, and tell us if the fire marshal or landlord asks for flame-retardant material.
- Approve the drawing and use it for the permit application.
- Your installer mounts the letters with the full-size template; an electrician connects power.
Tip: Order the outdoor sign and the reception sign from the same drawing. The logo, colors and letter shapes then match, and patients recognize the name when they walk in.

Questions
Front-lit or halo-lit for a medical office?
Halo-lit letters look calmer and suit offices close to the street or in a well-lit plaza. Front-lit letters are the easiest lit style to read from the road at night, so choose them when the building is far back or traffic is fast.
What if the fire marshal asks for flame-retardant faces?
Standard acrylic is not flame-retardant. When a fire marshal asks for it, the acrylic can be swapped for flame-retardant polycarbonate (PC); tell us before the drawing is made so the price includes it.
What electrical parts are in the sign?
The letters use 12 V DC LED modules and a power supply, both UL-listed components. Outdoor signs are hard-wired by a licensed electrician; indoor reception signs usually plug in.
Do I need a permit for a medical office sign?
Almost always for an outdoor sign, and the building owner usually has to approve it too. Your approved drawing shows the sizes, materials and mounting that most permit applications ask for; you or your installer file it with the city.
