Gym and fitness
Many gyms sit in strip centers or industrial units set back from the road, so the outside sign needs height and a lit face. Front-lit channel letters are the usual choice. Inside, black halo-lit letters or RGB letters make the training floor wall part of the brand.

From idea to switch-on
- Measure how far the front wall is from the road and from the far end of the parking lot.
- Check the landlord sign criteria and the city code for size, lighting and color-changing signs.
- Send your logo, the wall size and a straight-on photo for a free drawing and exact price.
- Approve the drawing and choose a photocell, a timer or both to match your hours.
- Your installer mounts the letters with the full-size template; an electrician connects the outdoor power supply.
Tip: A gym that is open around the clock needs only a dusk-to-dawn photocell. If you close at night, add a timer so the sign switches off at closing and comes back on at dusk the next day.

Questions
How tall should the letters on a gym be?
Plan about 1 in of letter height for every 10 ft of viewing distance. A gym 150 ft from the road needs letters of about 15 in, and more if drivers pass at speed; our letter height calculator does the math.
Can my gym sign change colors?
Yes. RGB channel letters can show any color, fade or change from a remote, and app control can be added. Some cities limit flashing or changing signs, so check your sign code first.
Which light color suits a gym?
White or neutral white gives a crisp look and suits concrete and industrial spaces. Warm white is softer and suits calmer studios such as yoga or pilates.
Who connects the power for an outdoor gym sign?
A licensed electrician. Outdoor signs use hard-wired outdoor power supplies, and connecting them to the building circuit is not part of our order. The sign uses a UL-listed power supply and LED modules.
