Bar and lounge

A bar sign is part of the room as much as a name on the wall. Open-face letters with LED neon are the most chosen: the retro look of neon in a 304 stainless channel, without glass tubes or their heat. RGB letters add color that changes through the night, and black halo-lit letters stand out on light brick.

From idea to switch-on

  1. Decide what the sign is for: the name outside, a feature wall inside or a line people photograph.
  2. Measure the wall and note where the nearest outlet is.
  3. Send the text or logo and the light color for a free drawing with a lit preview.
  4. Approve the drawing; add a dimmer or a Wi-Fi switch for a sign inside.
  5. Mount flush with the full-size template; plug in a sign inside, or have an electrician connect one outside.

Tip: Add a dimmer to any single-color lit sign inside the bar. A sign that looks right at opening time can feel too bright late at night, and turning it down is easier than living with it.

Questions

Is LED neon the same as glass neon?

It looks similar but works differently. LED neon is flexible silicone with LEDs inside, runs on 12 V and does not get hot the way glass neon does. In our open-face letters it runs along the center of each stroke, held by clips.

Can a bar sign change colors?

Yes, with RGB channel letters. They come with a controller and remote for colors, brightness and fade or jump modes. Check your city rules before you use flashing or changing colors on an outside sign.

How do I control a sign behind the bar?

A Wi-Fi switch turns it on and off and runs schedules from a phone app, which helps when the outlet is hard to reach. A dimmer with a remote sets the brightness of a single-color sign; on RGB letters, the RGB controller sets it.

What colors can LED neon be?

White, warm white or a color. Tell us the color you want when you ask for a quote and the lit preview shows it; if you want colors that change, choose RGB letters instead.
