Repair an existing sign
Most dark or flickering channel letters need a part, not a new sign. A failed power supply darkens the whole sign or the group of letters it feeds; a failed run of LED modules darkens part of one letter; a cracked or faded face can be cut new to the shape of the letter. When the old letters are beyond repair, we build new ones in 304 stainless steel.
- Most needed
- LED modules and a power supply
- Match
- Same voltage, enough watts, same color
- Line voltage
- Leave it to a licensed electrician
- New faces
- Cut to the shape of your letter

From idea to switch-on
- Turn the sign off at the breaker and note which letters are dark, dim or flickering.
- Read the label on the old power supply: output voltage, watts, and indoor or outdoor.
- Check the color of the LED modules already in the letters so the new ones match.
- Order modules, a power supply or wire; for a cracked face, send a photo, the letter height and a pattern of the old face.
- Swap the 12 V parts yourself or with your installer; a licensed electrician handles anything on the 120 V side.
Tip: Read the old power supply label before you order. Match its output voltage, and size the new supply so the LED load is no more than about 80 percent of its rating; an overloaded supply runs hot and can make the letters flicker.

Questions
Why is one letter of my sign out?
Usually a broken wire or connection to that letter, or a failed run of LED modules inside it. If several letters went out at once, check the power supply that feeds them first.
Can I mix new LED modules with the old ones?
Yes, if they run on the same voltage and have the same color temperature, so the letter does not look patchy. Our modules run on 12 V and come in white 6500 K, warm white 3000 K and red.
How do I order a replacement face?
Send a photo of the letter, its height and a rubbing or paper pattern of the old face, or the original artwork. We cut a new acrylic face to that shape and quote it; the trim cap is replaced along with the face.
Do you repair signs on site?
No. We supply the parts, new faces and new letters; your installer or a local sign technician does the work, and a licensed electrician handles the line-voltage wiring.
Not sure which sign fits?
Send a photo of your wall and your logo. We reply with a free drawing and the exact price.
