A desktop sign puts your name or logo in light at the place where customers meet you: the reception desk, the checkout counter, a display shelf or a trade show table. These are real channel letters, only small. Each letter has 304 stainless steel returns and an acrylic face, and the letters stand on a slim metal base that holds the wiring. People also look for them as a desk sign, a counter sign, a tabletop logo sign or freestanding light-up letters.
Because it sits on a surface, there is nothing to mount and no hole in any wall. Set it down, plug the 12 V adapter into a regular outlet, and it lights. That also makes it easy to move: from the front desk to an event table, or from one trade show to the next.
The letters can be front-lit, with the whole acrylic face glowing, or halo-lit, with a soft glow behind them. Front-lit reads best when the sign stands in the open on a counter. Halo-lit looks best when the sign sits close in front of a wall or a backdrop that the glow can fall on.
Sizes:
- Letter height from 2 in to 8 in in the price estimator.
- Our recent quotes include tabletop signs about 24 in wide with letters about 6 in tall.
- The base length follows your text or logo and is shown on the drawing.
Light color is white 6500 K, neutral white 4000 K or warm white 3000 K. Indoors and up close, a full-brightness sign can feel strong in a dim room, so the dimmer with remote is a useful add-on for lounges, restaurants and evening events.
Small letters have thin strokes, so the drawing matters. It shows every letter at real size so you can check that fine details of your logo still read before anything is built. The power adapter and LED modules are UL / cUL listed components.

How to choose
Measure the space first: the length of free desk or counter top, and how much height you can use without blocking a screen or a face behind the desk. Most desktop signs run along the front edge or sit at one end of a counter.
Then choose the letter height. Bigger letters read from the door; smaller ones read only up close but leave room for the rest of the desk. Check thin parts of your logo at the size you pick; the drawing shows them at real size.
Pick front-lit for a sign that stands in the open, halo-lit if it will sit just in front of a wall. Warm white suits hospitality and wood interiors; white looks crisp in clinics and offices. Add the dimmer for dim rooms, then send your logo and measurements.
Questions
How big is a desktop sign?
Letters run from 2 to 8 in tall in the estimator. Our recent quotes include tabletop signs about 24 in wide with letters about 6 in tall; the base length follows your text.
How does it get power?
A 12 V adapter plugs into a regular outlet. There is nothing to wire and no electrician needed.
Can I take it to trade shows?
Yes. It stands on its own base and lights wherever there is an outlet, so it moves easily from the office to an event table.
Front-lit or halo-lit?
Can I make it less bright?
Yes. Add the dimmer with remote and set the brightness to suit the room.
Can it switch on and off by itself?
Yes. Plug the adapter into our plug-in timer to set daily on and off times, or add the Wi-Fi smart switch on the 12 V side to run it from a phone app.
Can I use it outdoors or on a patio?
No. It runs on an indoor plug-in adapter and is built for desks, counters and shelves inside. For an outdoor sign, our channel letters are built with IP65 LED modules and an outdoor power supply.
Can the sign include my logo as well as the name?
Yes. A small logo shape can sit on the base with the letters. If a detail is too thin to build at that size, the drawing shows the change before you approve it.
